The Founders Story

We have a saying around the IMAGE Skincare offices: “We’re ‘Skinspired.’” More than just a catchphrase, it represents the passion with which IMAGE was built. “I wanted to create a skincare line that delivered on the promise of simplicity, value and results; that would help give every woman her best skin possible,” says founder and CEO, Janna Ronert, who started the brand from a tiny apartment in 2003.

Janna’s story: How IMAGE began

As an aesthetician, Janna had tested endless products. And as someone who battled rosacea personally, she struggled to find ones backed by proven results. So, she began to research products and why they worked. As she studied common ingredients, a recurring—and unsettling—theme emerged: Unnecessary chemicals were everywhere in the skincare industry.

As a result, Janna identified a void: the need for clean skincare made without parabens or chemicals. So, she made it her mission to create products that delivered professional-level results with safe, proven active ingredients and effective botanicals. And thus, IMAGE Skincare was born.

Janna created the first IMAGE collection, VITAL C, as a solution for sensitivity, dryness and rosacea. Since, along with IMAGE clinical director and board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Marc Ronert, she has collaborated with top chemists and researchers to develop every IMAGE collection. From powerful anti-agers to targeted solutions for acne, hyperpigmentation and more, IMAGE offers effective, physician-formulated products for every skin type.

The evolution of IMAGE

As IMAGE has grown, so has our mission. In 2011, Dr. Ronert founded the Care for Skin Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides life-changing plastic and reconstructive surgeries for people suffering from skin loss. Most importantly, the organization helps children lead healthier lives by performing much-needed treatments like skin transplants and cleft palate surgeries.

Today, IMAGE Skincare continues to lead the industry. Our products are always paraben-free and are made using responsibly sourced ingredients. We never test on animals.
