One of Image Skincare’s most popular collections, the VITAL C line of award-winning products, can help improve the appearance of your skin tremendously. With the help of the tried-and-true, science-backed ingredient vitamin C, this collection helps brighten and reduce the appearance of signs of aging while also providing deep hydration. It’s also perfect for harsh, cold winter months when skin needs extra TLC.
You might have already tried our signature, best-selling VITAL C Hydrating Antioxidant A C E Serum (and if you haven’t, we highly recommend it), but this time we want to focus on the other heroes of this collection: the VITAL C Hydrating Repair Crème, VITAL C Hydrating Facial Oil, the VITAL C Hydrating Overnight Masque, and The VITAL C Hydrating Intense Moisturizer. Individually, all of these are helpful in providing intense hydration to keep skin looking radiant. Used together in a comprehensive skincare routine, however, they can help give you your most absolutely glowing, moisturized skin.
First, though, let’s talk about vitamin C, which is the protagonist, if you will, of the VITAL C line of skincare products. Vitamin C has many benefits when applied topically to the skin. Perhaps its biggest benefit is the ability to help boost the look of firmness and tautness in collagen-deprived skin, which in turn helps minimize the appearance of signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. Collagen is a natural protein found in skin that keeps it firm. By supporting it, vitamin C helps improve the appearance of skin laxity and elasticity. But that’s not all that vitamin C can do. It also helps brighten skin by reducing and minimizing the appearance of dark spots caused by aging, sun exposure, acne scars, etc. Thus, vitamin C helps skin regain the appearance of radiance and elasticity.
The VITAL C Hydrating Repair Crème is able to help quench the skin and provide optimal hydration thanks to a blend of vitamins, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. As you already know, vitamin C helps improve the appearance of signs of aging and discoloration. But there’s more to this cream than just vitamin C. Ceramides and hyaluronic acid together also help provide deep hydration to further help soften the appearance of wrinkles. Ceramides help repair the skin barrier to make skin stronger and less susceptible to outside irritants (if you have sensitive skin, ceramides can be very beneficial). Hyaluronic acid is another hydrating ingredient known for its ability to retain 1,000 times its weight in water. By helping skin retain water, hyaluronic acid keeps it hydrated and moisturized and makes the skin look more plumped up. And you probably already know that the more hydrated skin, the less pronounced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
For an extra boost of hydration, look no further than the VITAL C Hydrating Facial Oil. This is a great addition to your daily skincare routine, and can be applied in the mornings and evenings as the final step to help lock in the luminosity and moisture. It’s recommended to use this last (but before SPF) when applying to cleansed skin. Use one full dropper for your entire face after using your cleanser, serum(s), and the VITAL C Repair Crème or Hydrating Intense Moisturizer. This facial oil is extremely helpful in harsh winters when the air is cold or very windy. Skin also gets dehydrated from repeated exposure to artificially heated areas like inside your home or other buildings. This facial oil is a blend of argan, sea buckthorn and grape-seed oils. Argan oil has shown incredible calming, moisturizing and rejuvenating benefits. Grape-seed oil has shown antioxidant benefits (antioxidants are helpful in fighting free radicals that damage skin cells and accelerate skin aging) as well as some promise in helping with minimizing visible signs of skin aging. Meanwhile, sea buckthorn oil has shown promise in helping to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation (thus evening out skin tone) and even helping improve the appearance of acne. Together these oils can team up to improve overall skin appearance and promote further skin health.
This particular mask contains tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, a highly stable form of vitamin C. Studies have shown that, when used regularly for at least 12 weeks, this form of vitamin C can help “significantly” soften the appearance of wrinkles. Overnight masks are generally recommended because they bring benefits while we are at rest, which is when the skin repairs itself. Together with the restorative aspects of sleep and the key ingredient of tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, you will be nourishing and nurturing your skin in a very profound way when using this mask regularly. Make it a habit to always include this mask in your nightly skincare routine!
Maximize your hydration with the VITAL C Hydrating Intense Moisturizer. This is the ultimate moisturizer for parched skin that gets particularly dry in winter. Once again, it features vitamin C to help improve overall skin elasticity. It also includes shea butter. Shea butter has shown promise in its ability to strengthen the skin barrier. Another ingredient, olive oil, provides hydration in addition to working as a revitalizing agent. It further displays promise in having a positive effect in minimizing signs of skin aging. These key ingredients work well together in the VITAL C Hydrating Intense Moisturizer formulation.
