Article: The Double Cleansing 1:1 Method

Double cleansing 1:1 method

The Double Cleansing 1:1 Method

Double cleansing seems more than enough, doesn’t it? After all, you’re spending twice the time washing away the day’s grime than you’ve been taught to spend since your teen years. But imagine this: what if you layered on skin care and makeup (including foundation) all over your body, then simply rinsed in the shower for less than a minute? Even with a cleanser, that wouldn’t nearly be enough effort to truly remove all the accumulated grime from the day. The same concept goes for facial skin. This is why we recommend the 1:1 Method.

The 1:1: Method is simple—all it means is you spend one minute for each cleanse of the double-cleanse. This means you’ll be ensuring you get all pore-clogging and dulling particulates off your skin before your head to bed.

Now, two full minutes of cleansing will seem like a long time, especially if you’re accustomed to making it quick. But make it fun! Sing a song that lasts two minutes long while you massage your skin. We recommend David Bowie’s “Breaking Glass” (2 minutes) or Queen’s “Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon” (1 minute, so sing it twice!). Whatever lifts you up or calms you down.

First, swipe skin with I BEAUTY refreshing facial wipes. With superfruits, cucumber, aloe vera and coffee extract, they instantly soothe and invigorate the skin while doing the hard work to remove the toughest impurities first.
